Mike & his family . . .

Being born and raised and in Eastern North Carolina has brought about many major influences to my life. The great outdoors is a term that has been used on a regular basis in my household as I was growing up, and it still continues today. If it involves hiking , biking, swimming, climbing, rowing, throwing, rappelling, skiing, camping, cooking, cutting or anything else of that “nature”, rest assured I have done it, or it is on my list of things to do soon! I have been in the Boy Scouts of America since I was six years old and am still currently active. I earned my Eagle Scout at 17 years old and Vigil Honor at 19. I hold their values and morals very highly in my life. I worked for the Boy Scouts as a district executive and oversaw all scouting activities in a three county area. It is exhilarating and exciting doing what you love most.

My father is USMC, ret. and we moved around the country a bit, staying to the east coast though. My mother is a retired RN and has taught me the care, diligence and patience that is required in health field. My father is from New Jersey and my mother from Pittsburgh , so through their graces I am able to communicate with a wide variety of individuals and their particular desires. I pride myself in my abilities to listen, comprehend and evaluate all situations before me and come with analytical approaches to reach a common ground.

I have been in the restaurant industry for nearly 10 years now. It is here that I first met Kelly. Customer service is second nature. It has paid my way through college at East Carolina University where I studied Secondary English Education. Teaching High School is what I thought I wanted to do. It was interesting and definitely a challenge, however it did not provide the rewards that I was looking for personally. I wanted to help people who wanted my help and actively sought out the expertise and knowledge that someone else had to offer.

I found real estate while I was in between jobs and I have been hooked ever since. It has provided the satisfaction of knowing that I have brought my knowledge, through the care of clients, to individuals who appreciated the efforts of someone they trust going above and beyond for their needs. I live my life this way…I'll do the same for anyone who needs a helping hand.
